We are part of Scott Brownrigg, a global design practice. Scott Brownrigg does not deliver other architects designs, but Design Delivery Unit can. Design Delivery Units head office is in London, where we share our Covent Garden location with Scott Brownrigg.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Architect with excellent technical ability to join our team. The role requires the ability to lead the consultant team to develop the technical design and deliver production information suitable to build from. Suitable candidates will have experience of working within a range of different sectors as well as on large scale, complex projects.
Working closely with our dynamic team you will be responsible for the delivery of projects from RIBA Stage 3, post-planning, working with contractors, developers, and in partnership with concept architects. You will optimise the design to add value and safeguard the concept architect’s design intent. You will audit and develop a project to ensure compliance with design standards and planning obligations. You will participate in the procurement and construction process, with particular expertise in Design and Build construction management and traditional contracts..
Key skills, knowledge and experience required:
- Revit is Essential and a high level of CAD skill.
- Excellent knowledge of NBS Building and NBS Create specification systems.
- Highly computer literate, skilled in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of UK Building Systems, Regulations and construction types.
- Working knowledge of town planning procedures.
- RIBA, ARB or equivalent registered Architect with experience of working within the UK Building
This role would suit someone with proven experience working in a similar capacity on project delivery, leading the coordination of packages of work.
Candidates must be confident communicators who present both verbally and visually using software and hand drawing skills.
