Architectural Technician / Technologist – Design Delivery Unit

We are part of Scott Brownrigg, a global design practice. Scott Brownrigg does not deliver other architects designs, but Design Delivery Unit can. Design Delivery Units head office is in London, where we share our Covent Garden location with Scott Brownrigg.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technologist or Technician with excellent technical ability to join our team. The role requires the ability to work closely with clients, contractors and the design team.

The candidates must be highly computer literate (Revit) with strong interpersonal skills. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret instructions.  

Working closely with our project leaders you will have an understanding of the design process and ability to assist the management/delivery of projects in a highly organised way with an efficient attention to detail.

You will be responsible for developing, detailing and co-ordinating package information, applying standards to resolve technical/design issues.

 

Key skills, knowledge and experience required:

- Excellent working knowledge of CAD systems including Revit

- Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimum supervision

- Highly computer literate, skilled in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite applications

- CIAT preferable but not essential

- Degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent

- Experience of working directly with the client, contractor and design team, would be desirable

- Good residential, education, commercial/office experience

- Working knowledge of UK Building Systems, Regulations and construction types

 

This role would suit someone with proven experience working in a similar capacity on project delivery. 

Candidates must be confident communicators who present both verbally and visually using software and hand drawing skills.
