The first apartment building - Kensington House on the Prince of Wales Drive residential development in Battersea is nearing completion.

Delivered by Design Delivery Unit for Berkeley Homes, the building comprises a superior collection of 1,2 and 3 bedroom apartments over 10 levels. All offer spacious open plan living and high quality finishes which combine industrial heritage with textured materials. The exterior uses a combination of handset brickwork and GRC panels, inspired by the historic mansion blocks in Battersea.

The concept design for Prince of Wales Drive by Squire and Partners comprises 11 blocks of contemporary apartments centered around landscaped gardens, providing a new visual landmark for Battersea.  A small feature building, located adjacent to Kensington House, helps frame the internal landscaped area and welcomes residents and visitors into the wider development. The exterior treatment highlights the more industrial nature of the site’s history, being clad in black pressed aluminium with detailed frit pattern curtain walling treatment. The current plan is for the building to be a café that will act as a hub for the local community.
