Site visit to Chelsea Creek

Our document control team are supporting a number of large construction stage projects and this week, had a chance to see how their efforts are being put into action at Chelsea Creek - a new, Squire & Partners-designed residential development in West London, which is currently being delivered onsite by Design Delivery Unit. The team were joined by project lead Philip Roy, director of practice Helen Taylor, and also accompanied by architectural assistant James Smith, Future Talent Programme placement Fussilat Ibrahim and our London receptionist Nadia Balde.

This provided an opportunity to see first-hand the management and organisation that goes into safely managing a site of this size, with up to 400 subcontractors on site at one time. The group were able to explore some private and affordable apartments in various states of completion, and also took a ride in the site lift to the 31st floor to see the amazing view across London from the top of the tower. Some of the elevations are now complete and the development as a whole is due for completion in 2023.
